Architecture library
The Architecture Library, located on the third floor of the Flagey site, offers over 150 study spaces, two group work rooms, a computer area equipped for scanning and photocopying, consultation computers providing access to specialized databases and online catalogues, a light table, an individual acoustic booth, a relaxation and reading area, a reception and lending desk (S&SAME Service), as well as a research assistance service (EUREKA Service).
With a collection of more than 25,000 books, the Architecture Library covers a wide range of fields, including architecture, architectural theory, urban planning, housing, sustainable development, landscape architecture, heritage, urban sociology, construction techniques, tourism, and more.
The library also holds an extensive collection of architectural periodicals in both print and digital formats, along with all master’s theses from the Faculty of Architecture and the higher education institutions La Cambre and Victor Horta.
The ULB Architecture Archives service preserves collections related to architects, urban planning, design, architecture, professors, professional associations of architects, architectural education institutions, photographic archives, and various other sources. Most of these collections date from the second half of the 20th century and include tracings, plans, construction site files, correspondence, specifications, photographs, models, and more.
